HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum receives new UNDP Resident Representative

Dubai - MENA Herald: HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, has met and welcomed Frode Mooring, the new Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the UAE. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy, also attended the meeting.

His Highness welcomed the UNDP Resident Representative, wishing him success in his new post. He commended the strategic partnership between the Supreme Council of Energy, the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, and the UNDP.

Mooring commended the efforts of Dubai Government, particularly the Supreme Council of Energy and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), for establishing the foundations of a green economy and enhancing the position of Dubai as a global role model in achieving the highest standards of energy security and efficiency.

At the end of the meeting, Mooring thanked the Chairman and the Vice Chairman for the warm welcome. He emphasised the importance of joint collaboration between the Supreme Council and the UNDP in supporting sustainable development, locally and globally.
