Abu Dhabi – MENA Herald: Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) is participating in major international defence and security events including the recently concluded Helitech International at ExCeL London and the upcoming 2015 Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition.

ADNEC’s presence at both events is designed around meeting trade visitors and exhibitors for promoting the inaugural Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week (ADAAW), the second Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX), and the pilot edition of the Simulation Conference and Exhibition that will be held under the umbrella of UMEX Abu Dhabi.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Acting Group CEO, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), said: “Our recent participation in Helitech International as well as the upcoming edition of AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition is part of ADNEC’s ongoing efforts to engage with the major exhibitors and decision makers in defence and aviation industries and invite them to Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week, UMEX and Simulation Exhibition and Conference.

“As the definitive industry events, ADAAW, UMEX and Simulation Exhibition and Conference will provide them with unique platforms to open up and expand business opportunities given the continued rise in defence spending and modernization across the region.”

Hosted by ADNEC-owned ExCeL London from 6 to 8 October, 2015, Helitech International is the largest helicopter exhibition in Europe dedicated to helicopter products, parts, accessories and services. The show brings together leading manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and engineers in the industry.

Held every October, the AUSA Annual Meeting is one of the largest land warfare expositions and professional development forums in the world. Set to run from 12 to 14 October, 2015 at Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC, the event consists of informative presentations, panel discussions on pertinent military and national security subjects, workshops and important business meetings.

Scheduled to run from March 6 to 12, 2016, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the upcoming edition of the biennial ADAAW will include the second Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX), first Simulation Exhibition and Conference, third Global Aerospace Summit, and fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi Air Expo, as well as the first edition of the Middle East Aviation Career Exhibition & Conference and the eighth Red Bull Air Race.

Organised by ADNEC, UMEX 2016, which includes the first Simulation Exhibition and Conference under its umbrella, is the only exhibition of its kind in the region dedicated to unmanned systems and technologies used in air, land and marine operations. The event is expected to draw the participation of nearly 100 local and global defence system manufacturers, specialised in unmanned systems and technologies used in air, land and marine operations.
