Lincoln Debuts Quiet Luxury with Continental Concept Reveal at Dubai International Motor Show

Tuesday 10 November 2015

Dubai - MENA Herald: The Lincoln Continental Concept made its Middle East debut today at the Dubai International Motor Show, highlighting the innovative future design direction for this legendary luxury marque.

“Luxury at its best, is about simplifying and quietly exceeding expectations, rather than being the loudest statement on the road,” said Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln. “The Continental Concept showcases the promise of quiet luxury from Lincoln going forward. It also is a strong indication of what’s to come next year as we introduce our new Lincoln Continental full-size luxury sedan.”
The new Lincoln design language on Continental Concept is an ideal balance between bold and understatement. The new design is most visible in the updated one-piece Lincoln signature grille featuring a repeating Lincoln star graphic, finished in bright chrome. This new grille will be introduced progressively across all future Lincoln products.
Lincoln’s unique 3.0-litre V6 EcoBoost® powertrain offers an effortlessly powerful engine, which when joined by the Lincoln Drive Control and Active Front Steering, Enhanced Park Assist with 360-Degree Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control with stop and go, and an 19-speaker Revel audio system, combine to create a premium driving experience.
The concept’s interior includes 30-way adjustable seats, reclining rear seat, Venetian leather, tone-on-tone monochromatic colour treatment, a through-centre console extending from the front to the rear and a docking station for mobile phones or tablets.
Since 2013, Lincoln has launched three all new vehicles – MKZ, MKC, MKX- and a refreshed Navigator. The all-new 2016 MKX will join the Continental Concept on the Lincoln stand at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show, together with the MKC and the MKZ.
Lincoln MKZ
Lincoln’s four-door MKZ sedan includes key standard equipment such as the 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine, intelligent access with push-button start, SYNC with MyLincoln Touch driver connect technology, and a visually and technically stunning available retractable panoramic roof that offers a 15.2-square foot glass panel and the largest rooftop opening available in the saloon class. Producing 377 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, Lincoln’s 3.7-litre fully aspirated V6 engine is also available on the MKZ.
Lincoln MKC
As the first compact SUV offering from the marque, MKC gets two, four-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost units, 2.0- and 2.3-litre, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the available hands-free power liftgate can be opened by kicking your foot under the rear bumper when you have the access key.

Lincoln MKX
The exterior of the all-new 2016 MKX luxury midsize SUV embodies elegance in motion, complemented by a dramatic design with a modern, contemporary silhouette and well-balanced proportions. The interior design blends functionality with fluid, flowing forms to inspire a sense of luxurious adventure. Powered by the 2.7-litre twin-turbocharged Ti-VCT EcoBoost V6, the MKX also comes with a line-up of innovative features including a revolutionary 360 degree camera and state-of-the-art Revel audio system.

Lincoln Navigator
Offering a fresh interpretation of the classic vehicle that created the full-size luxury SUV segment, the Lincoln Navigator, renowned for its smooth and stable ride, has once again been re-imagined, enjoying a facelift and engine upgrade in 2015. With a new 3.5-litre, twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine, delivering more power and torque than the previous generation Navigator, the 2015 model offers a fresh interpretation of the classic vehicle that created the full-size luxury SUV segment.
“Around the globe, we are focused on delivering distinct products that are engineered around the people inside them. Here in the Middle East, it’s important that we are part of a buyer’s consideration list, and we think our existing lineup, paired with our future products, give us a compelling story to tell,” said Galhotra. “We are off to a positive start in China and continue to see growth as we introduce new models to the world’s largest luxury market. In the US we have seen a strong improvement in favourable opinion as our transformational products have attracted younger and wealthier demographics.”

As part of the prestigious 2015 Dubai International Motor Show, Lincoln is giving all potential Lincoln customers an exclusive opportunity to receive an Etihad Guest Miles package, where customers could earn up to 100,000 Etihad Guest miles*. Consumers who register at the stand and complete a test drive at a Lincoln showroom in the UAE, before 30 November 2015, will receive 40,000 Etihad Guest Miles. Upon the purchase of any Lincoln vehicle as a follow up, customers will receive a further 60,000 Etihad Guest Miles to use for any destination of the customer’s choice.

Also at this year’s show, Lincoln is extending its luxury experience by engaging the five main senses. Drawing the eye to the exquisite range of vehicles, and incorporating the finest of materials to touch. For an aural sensation, the Revel audio lounge will give visitors a real-time experience of what they can expect from the new generation of Lincolns beginning with the all-new MKX, while Lincoln has also created the “essence of Lincoln” – a distinctive fragrance that conveys the message of the company’s identity, and will make its way thru Lincoln showrooms in the future.
“The Essence of Lincoln scent is dynamic, unique and luxurious, enhancing the customers experience when visiting the Lincoln stand,” said Alex Schaeffer, head of Lincoln Middle East, “at the same time, enhancing and reflecting the Lincoln brand.”
Completing the Lincoln stand sensation is freshly ground coffee served up by a skilled barista from acclaimed coffee house RAW Coffee – the only company to freshly roast coffee beans in the UAE.
The new MKC, MKX, and Continental Concept can be seen on the Lincoln stand located inside Sheikh Saeed Hall 3 of the Dubai World Trade Centre, during the Dubai International Motor Show (November 10-14, 2015).
