Ministry of Health meets with French delegates to establish joint cooperation in medical field

Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald:  H.E. Dr. Amin Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Policy and Licensing, welcomed to the Ministry of Health’s Abu Dhabi headquarters French Ambassador to the UAE Michel Miraillet, Camille Petit, Director and Advisor to Ambassador for Cultural Affairs and Cooperation, and Mr. Benoit Tamalet – Regional counsellor for Health Embassy of the French Republic.

Both parties discussed collaborative efforts and wider cooperation in pharmaceutical trade and other areas such as joint scientific research studies on genetics and related disorders. During the meeting, the French delegates invited the Ministry and its representatives to France where they can visit some of the country’s government and private hospitals, medical centers conducting genetic studies and clinical research studies, and hospitals specializing in cancer and heart treatments. The UAE delegates will also have an opportunity to meet with renowned experts and scientists in the medical field as well as visit the famous Pasteur Institute.    

The Ministry’s delegates to be led by H.E. Undersecretary Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama and several senior officials and specialists from the health sector are scheduled to go to France mid-January of 2016.
