Dubai – MENA Herald: 2015 has been a milestone year for Centrepoint as the region’s largest family fashion retailer wins gold at the most prestigious regional award ceremonies, bagging prizes for for its retail and marketing success. The region’s largest family fashion retailer has won gold at both the ICSC 2015 MENA Shopping Centre and Retailer Awards and the prestigious Images RetailME Awards.
The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) recognizes the region’s most innovative shopping centers for outstanding achievement in Marketing, Design & Development and Retail categories. ICSC has awarded Centrepoint, a Gold winner in the Social Media Marketing category.
Centrepoint launched a successful re-branding campaign through its social platforms. The retailer leveraged its digitally engaged audience to drive awareness for the new campaign centered around the message that Centrepoint is the destination for all your family’s fashion needs. The tagline ‘Family. Fashion. One Destination’ became the overarching campaign theme and the re-branding and family focused approach led to a series of engaging campaigns –– Movember, Mom’s March and World Family Day; that were rolled out from November 2014 to May 2015 and have significantly increased the brand’s social media following and engagement levels.
Centrepoint social media and retail efforts have also been recognized by the largest and the most prestigious awards committee in the retail sector, Images RetailME Awards, in a gala ceremony held at the Conrad hotel 2015. The Images RetailME Awards distinguishes the top performing Retailers in the Middle East across 32 categories and attracts the best-known names in the retail sector; making the awards ceremony one of the most important dates in the Middle East Retail Calendar. Centrepoint was awarded the esteemed Golden Ribbon of Excellence as the popular retailer received awards for the Most Admired Marketing Campaign of The Year as well as the Most Admired Social Media Campaign of The Year for its successful rebranding and effective, family focused, and social-media driven campaigns.
Shyam Sunder, Head of Marketing at Centrepoint, has been pivotal in the brand’s success and credits the Centrepoint’s wins to its ‘always on’ approach on social media and the brand’s shift from more traditional channels. “We have been creating engaging content with an exciting online and social media calendar and have been supporting this with rich media content for all our campaigns.” Commented Mr. Sunder.
