City Centre Sharjah officially certified as a safe and baby friendly location

Sharjah - MENA Herald: Majid Al Futtaim’s City Centre Sharjah, owned and operated by the region’s leading shopping mall, retail, and leisure pioneer maintains it status as the Emirate’s premier destination by announcing that the mall is certified a baby friendly organization and public place. This was declared by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He also announced that Sharjah is a baby-friendly Emirate certified by the World Health Organization and UNICEF during a ceremony held to reveal the results of the Sharjah Baby Friendly Emirate Campaign (SBFC) at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre on 9 December, 2015.

Sharjah is now home to 140 baby-friendly establishments and facilities, raising the number of mother-friendly workplaces from zero before the campaign to 82 today. The campaign offers 18 mother and baby-friendly public places; as City Centre Sharjah has been certified as an additional baby friendly organization and contributor offering parents an outlet to enhance their family lives.

“We are delighted to officially be certified as a baby friendly location as enhancing family experiences within the community is of vital importance at City Centre Sharjah,” said Akram Zoheir, Acting Mall Manager at City Centre Sharjah, “By creating a safe and friendly public haven, we continue to create great moments for everyone, everyday, as we cater to all visitors. We look forward to building a stronger foundation for our wider community.”

Numerous established stores in City Centre Sharjah accommodate mothers and children alike, such as: Baby Shop, BHS, Bossini, Carter’s, Giordano Junior, ICONIC, Max, Mom & Me, Mothercare, Neck & Neck, Sun & Sand Sports Kids and Toys R Us. This aids in achieving the psychological and emotional stability of children, mothers and families in general.
