Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald: Emirates Motor Company (EMC), the authorised distributor of Mercedes-Benz in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, has announced its tie-up with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship as the Official Car Sponsor of the event that will take place at Abu Dhabi Golf Club from 21 until 24 January.
EMC has joined the tournament’s title sponsor HSBC to partner with Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) to endorse one of the country’s most momentous events that highlights the vital role of sports.
As the official car sponsor, EMC will deploy 55 Mercedes-Benz GL and GLE Class cars for event organizers and players at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
EMC will also give away the all-new 2016 Mercedes-AMG Coupe 63 to the first player to ace a hole-in-one on the 12th hole and a brand new 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC for a lucky fan, chosen through a raffle draw hosted in the Championship Village. Complementing its participation further, EMC will be showcasing some of its premier Mercedes-Benz vehicles for the wider interest of the community among other exciting activities on the ground.
Commenting on EMC support to Abu Dhabi HSBC golf championship, His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of ADSC praised the pioneering role of Al Fahim Group represented by EMC in supporting and sponsoring international sport championships and events hosted and held in Abu Dhabi.

Reiterating EMC’s significant contribution to the success of international sporting events held in Abu Dhabi, such as the ICU Abu Dhabi Tour 2015, he indicated that the presence of elite golf stars such as Rory McIlroy, Martin Kaymer, Rickie Fowler, Henrik Stenson and Jordan Spieth, along with the names and logos of HSBC, ADSC and EMC will undoubtedly add to the success of the event.
