Emirates Diplomatic Academy begins second semester of Post-Graduate Diploma Programme

Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald: Emirates Diplomatic Academy (EDA) has welcomed back 58 students studying its Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in UAE Diplomacy and International Relations, marking the start of the second semester.

The nine-month Post-Graduate Diploma Programme, which plays a crucial role in developing the UAE’s future diplomatic corps and foreign policy thought leadership, combines advanced academic course with hands-on practical experience.

Commenting on the start of the second semester, Bernardino León, Director General of EDA, said: “Since the start of the academic year, the EDA students have shown exemplary commitment to strengthen their abilities in diplomacy and international relations. The EDA Post-Graduate Diploma Programme will play a critical role in preparing the UAE’s future diplomats, equipping them with the knowledge and experience to enable them to contribute effectively to diplomacy.”  

As the region’s leading integrated centre for academic studies, executive education and research in diplomacy, EDA is focused on preparing national capabilities and talents to meet the nation’s aspirations in the diplomatic field, added León.

As an integrated academic centre, EDA combines academic programmes and training, research and analysis to highlight the UAE’s leading role in international relations. The Academy also conducts in-depth studies on the region and the UAE to build a knowledge base in the field of international relations and diplomacy, and support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and decision-makers in the UAE.
