Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald: Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) has launched the ‘Bayti’ (My Home) initiative for Abu Dhabi citizens, sponsored by Emirates Steel, it was announced at a press gathering today.
ADHA’s Bayti initiative, which was developed to ease the burden on Abu Dhabi Emirati families utilising ADHA’s housing loans, provides 58 structurally and architecturally pre-approved housing designs. It streamlines the process of delivering housing to the required quality, on time and on budget.
“This initiative will support building residential communities based on the highest standards of quality and efficiency, which will guarantee the provision of security and comfort to the citizens now and into the future. We also encourage consultants to bring more creative ideas to the table and partner with ADHA in the forthcoming phases of Bayti to continue to provide innovative and sustainable designs,” said His Excellency Saif Bader Al Qubaisi, Director General of ADHA.
“Bayti has made home construction simple, speedy, and efficient, as previously, the process was lengthy and time-consuming, involving multiple agencies and approvals. The pre-approved building plans, which are configurable and can adapt to any family, have been developed in partnership with municipalities and private sector consultants and ensures a smooth and orderly construction flow,” said His Excellency Engineer Ali Khalifa Al Qemzi, Executive Director, Projects & Planning, ADHA.
“With the launch of Bayti, ADHA has now become a one-stop service, covering everything from acquisition of land, to building plans to interest free loans, truly catering to the needs of the Emirate’s Emirati families,” H.E Eng Al Qemzi continued.

Al Dhaheri, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Steel.
ADHA’s Bayti system gives home-owners a choice of pre-approved exterior designs, with modular interiors that can be configured to suit different family sizes. The architectural plans are available for 58 architectural design with different styles ranging from modern, Andalusian, Islamic, and heritage. The number of rooms ranges between 4 and 8 bedrooms, with the possibility of future expansion.
The initiative has also shortened build time, with full construction to be completed within a maximum period of two years. The expected cost, and interest-free loan amount, for each house is AED 2 million.
To utilise the Bayti initiative, Abu Dhabi citizens can view a hard-copy catalogue of designs and styles, as well as visit the gallery at the ADHA headquarters. The catalogue is also available for download as an app or on the website.
ADHA offers housing loans up to a value of AED 2 million, which is repayable in equal interest-free monthly instalments. There are a number of advantages to repaying the loan early.
The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority was established to realize the vision of the UAE prudent leadership through the development of housing programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the citizens of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
ADHA's remit is to work on the development and implementation of housing programs for the citizens propose rules and legislations. Also, building and maintaining a central database of the citizens, and identifying tools and frameworks to engage the private sector towards the achievements of ADHA's vision and aspirations.
ADHA's vision focuses on providing decent housing that meets the needs and special requirements of all citizens of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Such vision includes terms of preferences of the citizen including but not limited to, location, design, size and cultural values.
