Dubai – MENA Herald: The much-awaited Market Outside The Box will launch for the third consecutive year on the 21st January, bringing its unique retail and lifestyle concept to life at the Burj Park in Downtown Dubai during the 21st edition of Dubai Shopping Festival with the focus this year being on emerging local and regional brands, cuisine and talks by experts and entrepreneurs.
As one of DSF’s main attractions, Market OTB will run from 21 – 30 January with 83 brands participating in the annual activation. The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and the organisers of DSF, believes the Market OTB is a great opportunity for festival visitors to have a fascinating shopping experience within a vibrant ambience. The event will also help promote and raise awareness of local brands and entrepreneurs in a creative environment.
The Market OTB will be back like Dubai residents have never seen it before with all new platforms and an innovative atmosphere. Local musicians will have the chance to perform in front of excited crowds, as well as there being a platform for fitness specialists and budding designers to talk to visitors in a unique environment. Foodies from across the region will also be able to enjoy the unique pop-up stores and renowned food trucks which have become so popular in Dubai.
Local Brand Promotions
Dubai has developed in leaps and bounds, with new entrepreneurs entering the market all the time – from specialist food stalls to amazing boutique designers – there are endless amounts of creatives calling the emirate their home, and many of them are set to showcase their products at Market OTB. Visitors will be able to visit 83 brands that are both international and regional, offering a unique experience to see boutique creativity and grassroots retail growth.
A brand new platform being launched at Market OTB this year, The TalkBox will feature motivational and expert speakers covering a diverse range of topics including fashion, design, health and fitness, to name a few that will inspire visitors to create and become innovative in their own way. Influencers and local entrepreneurs will have plenty of great stories and thoughts to share with visitors during this 10-day event.
MyDSF Main Stage – Entertainment
This year Market OTB will focus on providing a jam packed roster of entertainment never seen in the region before. Visitors can expect to see regional and international musicians take to the specially created #MyDSF Main Stage to enjoy fantastic bands that have been creating music in the region for years. In partnership with The Red Bull Music Academy visitors are in for fun packed nights with brilliant entertainment.
Alongside the amazing live music, visitors can expect a packed program of activities ranging from onstage dramatic performances, dance and poetry – including a bedtime story for the children – to a special ‘chill out’ zone where you can read the newest novels in Park Central.
This year’s edition of Market Outside The Box is designed to inspire and promote the growth of grass root initiatives in Dubai, including entertainers, entrepreneurs and boutique stores.
