Friday 29 January 2016

Dubai – MENA Herald: The 16th edition of the Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM) starts this Saturday 30th of January, 2016 at the Novotel World Trade Center Hotel and the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center, with the participation of more than 12 international speakers and more than 300 dental professionals. Dubai World Dental Meeting touches upon the latest technological advancements and clinical developments in dental practice and is always keen to display the most updated trends and tools used in this industry.

Dr. Nasser Al Malik, AEEDC Scientific Chairman, said: “As an educational pre-conference meeting, Dubai World Dental Meeting in its 16th edition will comprise an intensive scientific program that covers the latest and most updated practices and new trends in the dentistry field.”

DWDM 2016 includes various scientific activities that range from lectures to scientific sessions and 12 workshops delivered by international industry leaders. DWDM courses cover the following topics: Endodontics, Aesthetic, Restorative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Laser in Dentistry, Dental Practice Growth, Implantology.

Dr. Manaf Taher Agha, speaking at DWDM said: “I have been participating in DWDM from the past 13 years, and I have been for 4 years a speaker. I think that it is one of the best dental courses in the region if it is not the best, as it is very well organized and it covers a variety of topics and up to date information.”

Dr. Manaf continued: “My course this year will be on how laser can improve and help in a better outcome in perio and oral surgery treatments and how far the laser technology can support the

dentist in his clinic. Laser has become an important tool in the dental clinic with amazing results that include very fast healing, less traumatic minimal invasive and it helps the dentist to overcome many difficulties. Laser also brings more comfort to the patients with less post postoperative complications.”

From his side Dr. Micheal Dieter, Head of Professional Services ICDE International Center for Dental Education said: “In the 16th edition of Dubai World Dental Meeting, I’ll present a restorative course titled: ‘Reconstruction of Posterior Defects: Layering or Bulk Filling?’ where I will talk about the latest application techniques with direct posterior restorations. My course is meant for clinicians seeking to enhance their efficiency and profitability without compromising quality and esthetics of the final restoration.”

Commenting about his participation in DWDM, Dr. Michael Dieter said: “The Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM) is the right platform to practice some exciting new clinical topics prior to AEEDC. The 3-Day meeting will include hands-on workshops and case presentations, covering the trend towards highly esthetic and minimally-invasive procedures. Those sessions are a great opportunity for clinicians to increase the value of their restorative work which is ultimately well received by their patients.”

From his side, Dr. Costa Nicolopoulos, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon said: “During the upcoming Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM), I’ll be presenting a 1-Day hands-on Implantology course. This course will teach dentists about treating patients with extractions, implants & teeth all in the same day. This is achieved by using angled and wide dental implants thereby avoiding painful & costly bone grafts.”

Dr. Costa Nicolopoulos added: “The DWDM is one of the three biggest and most important dental meetings in the world. It hosts a great deal of unique hands-on courses. I urge dentists to attend

the best and innovative hands-on implant courses. By doing so, dentists will be able to take clinical knowledge & practical skills back to their dental clinics.”

Dubai World Dental Meeting is running prior to the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition – AEEDC Dubai in its 20th edition, which is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority.
