Dubai – MENA Herald: The 21st edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival has witnessed yet another new record being established – The Biggest Perfume Spray organised at City Centre Deira, by Paris Gallery. The event on 29 January saw hundreds of shoppers spray perfume simultaneously while professional dancers performed choreographed moves.

The record setting event took place as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival’s line-up of Perfume themed events, and saw shoppers at Paris Gallery availing themselves of great prizes and picking up lots of perfume samples. A free style dance group performed during the countdown to the spraying of the perfumes.

Nasera, an Algerian professor is visiting Dubai for a second time, but this is her first DSF experience. She said: “The main thing that has caught my attention during the Dubai Shopping Festival ia the amazing line up of entertainment. I don’t think there is a possibility of anyone ever being bored during this festival. So far I have really enjoyed the perfume spraying activation, which I found out about via social media. I am happy to be here to be a part of the DSF Perfume Theme as perfumes are on the top of my shopping list.”

Maima, the supervisor of the free style dance troupe, said: “This has been one of the most popular and well received activations held during the Dubai Shopping Festival. The beautiful scents that were sprayed have lingered in the location of the event at City Centre Deira, making this a lovely area to wander through.”

Egyptian sailor, Sherif Othman and his family were happy to take part in DSF activations and enjoy the promotions and activations, having been avid followers of DSF for the past 9 years. His wife, Ola, asserts that DSF is the best time to shop in Dubai as it comes with great weather, irresistible deals, and a range of activations that are also enjoyed by their children Lana and Yassin.

Lana said: “I’m having so much fun during DSF and I love the children’s shows at the malls and at Global Village. At school, me and my friends were asked to draw about DSF.”

The Dubai Festivals and retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and the organisers of DSF 2016, invites shoppers to take part in the 21st edition’s final days and experience all the great shopping experiences that give local residents and tourists the chance to shop, be entertained and win.
