DHA Chairman inaugurates UAE’s first private AED35 million rehabilitation centre

Dubai - MENA Herald: His Excellency Mr. Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Chairman and Director General of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), inaugurated the first ever private in-patient rehabilitation centre in the UAE. This centre was launched as a result of a partnership between JCI reaccredited, Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH) and WAGNER HEALTH & CARE, one of the world’s leading providers of rehabilitation services from Austria.
This AED 35 million centre will provide a total of 48 beds in super luxurious rooms for its medium and long term in-patient services in addition to its outpatient and day services. Rehabilitation aims to restore patients to their fullest overall potential as fast as possible, after a surgery, grave disease or chronic pain.
Mr. Mohammad Rashid Al Falasi, Chairman of Canadian Specialist Hospital, stressed the significance of a rehabilitation centre in the country, “Patients in the UAE that required rehabilitation treatments flew to nearby countries in Europe and Asia to avail such services. Our rehabilitation centre will address the needs of such patients and help them solve these challenges within UAE itself and ensure that they get the best treatment here. This centre will also cater to the needs of patients within the other GCC countries and will significantly contribute towards the country’s medical tourism industry.”
