Dubai – MENA Herald: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s (DEWA’s) Sustainability Culture Indicator (SCI) survey has risen to 85% for 2015, a 3% year-on-year increase. This result was recorded during DEWA’s annual Corporate Sustainability Culture Indicator progress report, which tracks DEWA’s ability to integrate sustainability within its corporate culture, evaluate the success of various engagement exercises, and promote corporate potential to achieve sustainability.

“We are committed to achieving government sustainability based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to provide a brighter future for Dubai. We annually study the Sustainability Culture Indicator while taking great steps towards achieving our goal of becoming a sustainable, innovative world class utility. Sustainability is a major part of DEWA’s strategy and culture. We are pleased with the results shown by our recent study, as they portray our employees’ level of commitment to the concept of sustainability, within the work place and at home,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO, DEWA.
“2015’s SCI study gained the interest of many DEWA employees, reflecting their commitment to the concept of sustainability and adopting it as standard government culture. The study provides a road map that highlights key information that can help us further integrate this concept into our daily practices and can also help us raise awareness about sustainability among employees. We are committed to our ongoing efforts to enhance our performance as a government, as well as the skills of individuals, based on the highest international standards,” concluded Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development.
