RIYADH - MENA Herald: InterSystems, a global leader in health information technology, announced that research and insights firm KLAS has honored the InterSystems TrakCare® unified healthcare information system with the prestigious 2015/2016 Category Leader award for Global Acute EMR – Middle East.

InterSystems TrakCare® was also honored with the 2015/2016 Best in KLAS award for Global (Non-U.S.) Acute EMR.

In the Middle East region, the TrakCare score was 85.4, based on healthcare provider rankings. The rankings measure healthcare providers’ satisfaction with vendors’ sales, contracting, implementation, and support, as well as their solutions’ quality, functionality, fit with requirements, ease of use, performance, and interoperability.

KLAS recently recognized InterSystems as one of the leading health IT vendors in the Middle East. In a KLAS report, “Global HIT Trends 2015: Which Vendors Are Providers Betting On?” published in December 2015, KLAS stated that InterSystems is “seriously considered by providers due to InterSystems’ reputation for good functionality and fast EMR deployment in the region.”

In another KLAS report published in November 2015, “Global EMR Performance 2015: Global and Regional Performance Examined,” a vice president of information systems at an InterSystems customer site stated, “I feel that InterSystems wants to help us be successful, so they are listening to us. They are a less expensive option than other EMRs that are on the market, and they consult with us on ways to make the product better. Many EMR companies would charge for that kind of help, but InterSystems seems more concerned with making a good product than making money.”

Also in the “Global EMR Performance 2015” report, positive customer experience was reflected in the company’s Middle East Regional “Yes/No” performance ratings, with 100% of respondents saying that InterSystems:
• Avoids charging for every little thing;
• Keeps promises;
• Is part of long-term plans; and
• Is a product they would buy again.
“The KLAS award is a reflection of InterSystems’ vested partnership with our clients. Our aim is to support our clients to deliver the best quality of care by adopting cutting-edge applications and technology,” said Michel Amous, Regional Managing Director for the Middle East and India at InterSystems.
