Dubai – MENA Herald: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) UAE took a stride forward in its quest to offer an enhanced service experience for its existing and prospective customers with the completion of its new phase of upgrades to the Bank’s 24/7 call center.

Launched as part of its efforts to allow HBL customers throughout the UAE to gain easy access to banking services, product information and account transactions, the state-of-the-art call center had covered a comprehensive array of agent- and IVR-based services in its first two phases, catering to both retail and corporate customers – from Balance Enquiry, Transaction Queries, Mini Statement, and E-Statement and SMS Registrations, to Card Activation, Card Blocking, Card PIN Generation, Internet Banking Troubleshooting, and more.

Now, the third phase of the upgrade project brings a greater variety of features and services that are designed to further enhance convenience and service availability for HBL customers all over the UAE.

“Call centers have today evolved to become important business differentiators,” said Mubashar Maqbool, Country Manager – UAE, Habib Bank Limited. “We are committed to not only deliver the best customer experience possible, but to ensure that our customers are provided with unmatched convenience and support in carrying out their everyday banking transactions. Our newly upgraded call center is a firm expression of this commitment.”

A key highlight of the new phase involves the introduction of the FastTransfer Home Remittance feature, a unique service that allows secure and quick cash transfer to Pakistan. The FastTransfer service via Call Center is available to HBL UAE account holders, and allows remittances to any person or accountholder in Pakistan and the remittances are quickly credited to the beneficiaries’ accounts; non-accountholders can receive the money from any of HBL Pakistan’s over 1,600 branches.

The remittance sent to any other bank’s account in Pakistan gets credited to the beneficiary account within a few hours. HBL FastTransfer transactions do not attract any charges if the amount of remittance is more than US$200.

The FastTransfer Home Remittance service was initially made available through HBL UAE branches. Then, in June 2015, HBL UAE became one of the very few banks in the UAE to offer home remittance service to debit cardholders through its network of ATMs in the country, and now the FastTransfer Home Remittance service is also available to HBL account holders throughout the UAE via the HBL Call Center.

As part of the new features and services introduced in the third phase of the call center upgrade, customers will also be able to transfer funds between HBL accounts and apply for cheque books and demand drafts.
