Jeddah – MENA Herald: Mapei, the world leader in the manufacturing of adhesives and chemical products for the building industry, is attending for the first time The Big 5 Saudi exhibition. Considered the fastest-growing construction event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the exhibition will take place in Jeddah on 7-10 March, bringing together over 500 exhibitors from more than 30 countries to showcase their latest products, technologies and services. Now at its 6th edition, The Big 5 Saudi is an ideal platform for exhibitors and buyers seeking to gain a share of the Kingdom’s lucrative $700-plus billion construction industry.
Stefano Iannacone, Mapei Managing Director, said: “This year marks our first-time attendance of The Big 5 Saudi. This is definitely the best place to be to provide customers with an invaluable touch-point with our brand. We believe the Saudi market has enormous business potential, we’ve already been involved in large projects in Saudi Arabia, such as the Riyadh Metro, the clock tower in Mecca, the extension of the mosque in Medina and several shopping malls and residential projects, and we plan to open a facility in the country soon.”
“These are obviously demanding times for Saudi Arabia, but the construction market remains resilient despite the impact of low oil prices. I see the country pushing ahead with its investment plans in the sector, and we at MAPEI are seeking to strengthen our foothold and increase presence here. I’m quite optimistic about Saudi Arabia’s future and the sector’s prospects. Despite the challenging economic climate, the country remains one of the strongest-performing and most promising construction markets in the region,” added Iannacone.
