Dubai - MENA Herald: A group comprising of over 100 Architectural Engineering College students from Ajman University of Science and Technology (‘AUST’) visited Dubai South, as part of an engagement designed to give students exposure to real life projects that apply world-class design and architectural excellence.
The student group was met by Ahmed Al Ansari, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Dubai South, and Emad Nimeh, SVP of Asset Development and Management at Dubai South.
Dr. Nahla Alqassimi, Assistant Professor, Ajman University of Science and Technology, said, “Being a massive, upcoming city spanning 145 sq. km. Dubai South has numerous projects at various phases of design and construction. As such, it is a unique example which enabled architectural engineering students to bridge theory with practice and to appreciate better the actual applications of this inspiring science.”
Welcoming AUST delegation, Emad Nimeh said: “We are building a fully-functional city from scratch – a long-term project that poses interesting opportunities and challenges to engineers. Dubai South is very keen to share its experiences in urban planning and development with the student community. It is a key part of our commitment to inspire young minds that will build cities of tomorrow.
“We look forward to welcoming many more student delegations from all over the UAE, and making such visits a regular feature on the Dubai South calendar. We feel responsible for passing on the wealth of knowledge and practical experience that we are constantly accumulating on the ground.”
