Dubai – MENA Herald: OSN, the region’s leading pay-TV network and the undisputed home of cricket, hosted a lively and engaging Q&A with four of cricket’s biggest legends –Michael Vaughan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Graeme Smith and Anil Kumble – on Monday evening (March 14). The event marked the beginning of OSN’s exclusive live studio coverage of the ICC World Twenty20 2016.
Hosted by veteran sports presenter and fan-favourite, Jim Rosenthal, this year’s coverage of the ICC World Twenty20 on OSN will feature live analysis from the panel of cricket legends speaking from OSN’s new Dubai studios. They will breakdown the on-pitch action and share their expertise and knowledge throughout the tournament.
“This is the biggest cricket event of the year and we are delighted to convene here in Dubai to bring the ICC Twenty20 Tournament to subscribers of OSN until April 3,” said leading sports presenter, Jim Rosenthal.
“OSN has assembled a first-rate slate of experts who will provide unique and valuable insight into one of the world’s most exciting tournaments. The breadth of experience the panel possesses for this year’s coverage means we are the leading voice of cricket in a region where the sport is already huge,” said Mr. Rosenthal.
Former Ashes winner and England captain, Michael Vaughan, said: “At every stage, the meaning of wearing your country’s jersey is the same – it is pride and patriotism and an absolute desire to win every game. When you have spent a long time in the game you understand the importance of winning one of the coveted trophies in the world of cricket.” Speaking of his country’s chances in the tournament, he added, “England are playing with more spirit than I’ve seen in a while, and actually even have a smile on their faces. They’re getting back to an old-school way of playing which will see them do well in the tournament.”

Reaching out to cricket-lovers in the UAE, OSN will host the OSN ICC World T20 Fanzone at Emirates Golf Club for cricket fans to enjoy the matches on a big screen, and enjoy an international selection of food and drink. The fanzone is free to enter and in association with OSN’s broadcast partner and official ICC World Twenty20 banking partner in the UAE, Simply Life from ADCB.
Visitors at the fanzone can also win tickets to watch the games in India.
This year’s spectacle started on March 8 and will be relayed live through the final on April 3, exclusively on OSN Sports Cricket HD.
