Emirates Islamic inducts latest batch of UAE Nationals

Dubai - MENA Herald: Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today announced that 29 young Emiratis have successfully completed its in-house Al Mustaqbal and Uni Grad training programmes for UAE national school and university graduates.
The successful trainees received their graduation certificates from Hessa Al Mulla, Head of Human Resources, Emirates Islamic, at a ceremony held at the bank’s headquarters in Dubai. They will now take up jobs with the bank across various entry-level positions.
Speaking about the induction of the new batch of trainees, Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Chief Executive Officer, Emirates Islamic, said: “In line with the Nationalisation drive initiated by the UAE’s leadership, Emirates Islamic has been a leading contributor to the career development of Emiratis and we are proud to welcome a new batch of skilled and enthusiastic graduates on board.
“Our training programmes are not only aimed at attracting young Emiratis to the UAE banking industry, but also at empowering them to reach their full potential and contribute to the growth of Islamic finance in the country,” he added.
Hessa Al Mulla further commented: “At Emirates Islamic, we introduced two in-house training programmes in 2013, in coordination with the Emirates Institute for Banking & Financial Studies (EIBFS). These programmes are an integral part of our talent development strategy to train Emirati youth and prepare them to become future banking leaders. Going forward, we will continue to evolve our training programmes, providing more opportunities and career options for promising candidates.”
Al Mustaqbal, a six-month programme for school graduates up to the age of 20, includes both class room and on-job training, with successful trainees then being deployed permanently across various divisions of Emirates Islamic.
The bank also offers Uni Grad, a training programme for Emirati college students interested in a banking career. Open to UAE National university graduates up to the age of 27, the 12-month course is a fast-track career development initiative.
A total of seven batches of UAE national school graduates have completed training under the Al Mustaqbal programme, and eight under Uni Grad.
