Dubai – MENA Herald: An exclusive event, hosted by OSN and Viacom International Media Networks, marked the addition of Comedy Central HD to OSN’s roster of great new channels.

The two networks flew star of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, to Dubai to officially switch on the channel at a private event held at Armani Hotel Dubai.

The South African comedian, alongside Saudi talent Fahad Albutairi, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading stand-up comedians, and executives from OSN and Viacom, launched Comedy Central HD, channel 207 at 7pm on Saturday, May 7.

Invited guests were treated to performances from both comics, and Trevor Noah performed a special stand-up set, giving the audience an amusing taster of what’s to come on the channel.

Trevor Noah said: “I want to thank Viacom, Comedy Central and OSN for the chance to come here and be a part of this fantastic event. How often do you get to push a big red button and launch a world-class comedy channel? And to all the comedy fans out there in the Middle East, now there’s a ton of great content on Comedy Central HD on OSN channel 207. Come Find your Funny.”

All programmes on Comedy Central HD will be subtitled in Arabic. OSN subscribers can now access a deep library of international content including The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Comedy Central Presents…, Inside Amy Schumer, and the animated hit, South Park.

Comedy Central HD will also feature a dedicated block of Spike content. Spike is a general entertainment brand offering original productions created to inform, engage, inspire and above all push the boundaries of the unexpected. Global sensation Lip Sync Battle will be available as part of this offering.

All the shows premiering on Comedy Central HD will be available on OSN’s award-winning catch-up service, OSN Play and via OSN on Demand.
