The 23rd edition will open with a keynote introduction on the Future of Payments by John McGuire, Vice President of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at VISA Central Europe, Middle East and Africa.
A single panel discussion on “The Future of Digital Finance” in the MENA Region will then follow. Moderated by Sahana Kumar, Managing Director of Amarante Consulting, the panel will draw the participation of Paul Boots, Chief Operations Officer of Beehive, Moussa Beidas, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bridg Payment Solutions, Alaeddin El Majed, Payment Director at HyperPay, Tarek Kaddoumi, Cofounder Umbrellab, and Naeem Nizar, Regional Director at Ethica Institute of Islamic Finance. The event will also feature an exhibition floor featuring a variety of Fintech solution providers.
Speaking ahead of the event, Hans Christensen, Director Dtec and SOF at DSOA, said: "DSOA is proud to host this quarterly forum for the fourth consecutive year to educate the public on the latest tech-influenced developments within emerging sectors. The upcoming edition of TechForum will spotlight the world of financials, payments and electronic currency, a matter that is continuously progressing and changing the landscape and methods in which the public interact with it. This is a field that has confused professionals as well as the general population during the early stages of its emergence before being able to gain their reassurance in terms of security in usage.”
He added: “Attendees will hear from veterans in the field of payments as well as young entrepreneurs that predicted the trend. A particularly interesting component of the event will be the forecast of what we can expect the future to hold in regards to payments and digital finance.”
On her part, Sahana Kumar commended DSOA for hosting such technology focused forums across diverse industries. She said: “The technological developments in the past few years within multiple sectors have been skyrocketing. Specifically, within the financial industry, the advancements of payment methods and gateways have changed the way businesses deal with each other and with their customers. In many countries, users are getting overwhelmed with the unprecedented increase in the number of Fintech solutions, each showcasing different niches and targeting different segments. Discussion panels as the one set to convene at Dtec serve as the ideal education platform for users as well as experts and professionals of the field to exchange knowledge and experience.”
