Sharjah – MENA Herald: The Sharjah Tatweer Forum (STF) and leading multinational software corporation, SAP, won the ‘Best Public / Private Partnership Project’ category of the 2nd edition of the .GOV Awards for Dubai and the Northern Emirates 2016 an annual event that seeks to honor organisations and IT professionals that are leading the digital transformation of government in the UAE, which was held earlier in Dubai. The award was given in recognition of the successful partnership between STF and SAP for their collaborative efforts on the ‘Sharjah as a Smart City’ initiative, which aims to bolster the emirate’s sustainable growth through business innovation, economic growth and youth development.

The .GOV Awards was established in 2015 to recognise the achievements of the public sector in the field of ICT in the UAE and to honor outstanding efforts by the public sector in the GCC to use the power of technology to deliver innovative and engaging government services.
