Goodyear appoints new Business Unit Director of Consumer Tires segment for Middle East and Africa

Dubai - MENA Herald: Goodyear Middle East and Africa has announced the appointment of Khaled Arafa as the Business Unit Director of the Consumer tires1 segment for Middle East and Africa.

In his new role, Arafa will progress Goodyear’s vision to achieve excellence in sales and marketing driven by Goodyear’s innovations and collaborative planning. He will oversee the expansion of the Goodyear brand in the region through the quality of its products and the efficiency of its services, and drive initiatives to reaffirm Goodyear’s position as the consumers’ preferred choice in the regional tire market.

Arafa has over 18 years of experience in the tire manufacturing industry, where his technical expertise has been the foundation of many successful projects across Middle East, Africa and Europe. Since joining Goodyear in 2008, Arafa has held several roles including Commercial Tires2 Manager for GCC countries, General Sales Director for the Mediterranean cluster, followed by the role of General Sales Director for Mediterranean and North Africa cluster.

He was also appointed as the Commercial Tires Business Unit Director for the Nordic region for a period of two years during which he looked after the truck, retread and Off-The-Road (OTR) business in 8 countries: Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.
