Happiness and Positivity Council at Ministry of Climate Change and Environment Discusses Happiness and Positivity Strategy

Dubai - MENA Herald: His Excellency Dr. Thani Ahmed Alzeyoudi, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, chaired the second Happiness and Positivity Council meeting held at the Ministry’s offices in Dubai. Members highlighted the significance of taking suitable and appropriate measurements that contribute to instilling a truly happy and positive corporate environment.
Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and in line with the goals of the Happiness and Positivity Programme, to make happiness a way of life throughout the UAE and the ultimate objective for government work.
The meeting, held at the Dubai offices of the Ministry, was attended by a number of senior management and mid-management employees. Dr. Thani Alzeyoudi presented a list of procedures and policies that can help in establishing an all-round happy and positive environment through: continuous communication, healthy exchange of views, best practices and innovative ideas. In return, providing the best customer service and spreading the culture of happiness and positivity.
Dr. Alzeyoudi confirmed the ministry’s focus on building a happy and positive environment for both, staff and customers. He said: “We have put together a comprehensive strategy, including various programmes and initiatives, which will be actioned in the near future. We are aligned with the vision of our wise leadership to ensure the satisfaction of our employees, and our customers as well.”
Keeping in mind the words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum: “governments and businesses that fail to innovate will go backwards”; Dr. Alzeyoudi confirmed the ministry’s focus on innovation and creativity in its pursuit of employee and customer happiness and positivity.
The National Happiness and Positivity Programme is built around three main pillars, including: happiness and positivity in government work, which is responsible for developing government initiatives that support the happiness and positivity environment among the public; happiness and positivity as a way of life, responsible for embedding the values of happiness and positivity within the society; and measuring happiness and positivity, through indicators that measure the progress of happiness and positivity and monitor achievements in the field.
