Olayan Kimberly-Clark commences first-ever production of Huggies® Diapers in Bahrain

Manama - MENA Herald: Olayan Kimberly-Clark is proud to announce the expansion of its manufacturing operations, enabling local production of Huggies® Diapers in Bahrain for the first time.
The expansion involves the introduction of two new machines, installed at the company’s Askar manufacturing facility, creating 77 new jobs in the Bahrain market. The Huggies® products produced at the facility will be sold across the Middle East and Africa region.
Hein van der Bijl, Kimberly-Clark Vice President of the Middle East and Africa, stated: “We are proud to bring the manufacturing of the iconic Huggies® Diapers to Bahrain for the first time. The introduction of the new machines demonstrates our commitment to the Middle East, allowing us to increase local employment to help fuel our business growth”.
Ghadah AlTalal, Senior Brand Manager from Kimberly-Clark, said: “The investment follows our success in growing the diaper business in the region in recent years using imported product. Introducing local manufacturing allows us to develop products tailored specifically for our local consumers, respond more flexibly to market demand and enhance our cost competitiveness”.

The company has already experienced great success with the Huggies® business in the region, achieving double digit growth, and hopes to see further growth into the future.
