GOIC discusses industrial investment opportunities with an Emirati delegation

Doha - MENA Herald: GOIC Secretary General Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel received an Emirati delegation of businessmen and investors headed by Sheikh Dr. Tariq Al-Qassimi, Chairman of “Al-Ittihad Investments” from Ras Al-Khaimah at GOIC’s headquarters in Doha, Qatar. The two parties discussed means of mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise to promote the industrial sector in the United Arab Emirates in general and Ras Al-Khaimah in particular. They agreed that such a cooperation would positively influence GCC countries in general.
The delegation included Dr. Mahmoud Fraihat, Chairman of “Ithmar”, Dr.Abdulmohaimen Qanbarji, CEO of “Al-Ittihad” and a number of managers, investors and businessmen.
An extensive meeting was then held with the participation of Dr. Ali Bin Hamed Al-Mulla, GOIC Assistant Secretary General for Industrial Projects Sector in addition to consultants and heads of departments from GOIC. The meeting was inaugurated by Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel, GOIC Secretary General, who delivered a speech in which he thanked the delegation for their visit and gave an overview of the Organization and its objectives and activities in the industrial sector. GOIC Secretary General then went through GOIC’s projects and programs in the field of industrial studies and researches in the GCC with the delegation.
Participants discussed means of cooperation between the two parties, particularly future projects with the participation of the Organization like an industrial investment conference in Ras Al-Khaimah. They also talked about investment opportunities in the Emirate and how to benefit from GOIC’s database.
Moreover, the delegation attended a presentation about GOIC’s programs, notably the IMI Plus, Gulf Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange (GSPX), Training and Capacity Development (TCD) and Industrial Technical Assistance (ITA).
