Dubai - MENA Herald: In the line with UAEs’ initiative for the care of orphans and minors launched in 2015 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and in support of orphan children. The Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai hosted children, care-givers and administrative staff of Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation’s (AMAF) Family Village - one of Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation’s key endowment projects in Dubai– over two fun-filled days.

The young children from Family Village engaged in multiple fun and sport activities as part of an interactive agenda specifically designed for them. They participated in tennis, Zumba and swimming sessions. In addition, they also toured the hotel’s facilities and enjoyed sumptuous meals at some of its well-known restaurants.

Founded in 2015, Family Village currently hosts and cares for 32 orphan children through offering them shelter, education, health and psychological care, within a stable family environment - that comprises dedicated full-time ‘mothers’ and care givers.
