Dubai – MENA Herald: A new concept comes to the UAE this September. Yum in a Box, created by Dubai-based entrepreneur Sara Ghosn, provides nutritious and well-balanced meals for children between the ages of 2 to 10 years.

Set to change the way children view and consume healthy food, Ghosn turned her back on the corporate world to focus her attention on this passion project to tackle the growing rise in child obesity in the UAE. “Children are the most receptive and adaptable little beings and it is our duty to instill positive eating habits that reinforce a healthy relationship with food from the very beginning,” explains Ghosn who collaborated with a super team of chefs and professional nutritionists, and spent several months experimenting with food tastes and flavors to find creative ways to help children meet their daily dietary requirements in the most playful, educational and most delicious manner possible.

“At the end of the day, we are dealing with children and therefore every aspect has to answer to their curious, inquisitive and playful nature – that includes the look and feel of the food itself,” adds Ghosn.

With so many parents battling with their kids to get them to eat their veggies and other healthy nutrients, Ghosn looks to simplify the process for moms who are entrusted with the task of constantly finding ways to make food interesting and diverse for their fussy eaters.

Yum in a Box offers carefully designed and customized breakfast, lunch and snacks menus using unique recipes made up of essential ingredients that children require. “’Healthy’ is a term children often associate with tasteless greens and we want to change this perception by labeling it ‘Good food’ instead.” affirms Ghosn who recognizes a lack of healthy food options for children against the widely available processed food alternatives.

Each Yum in a Box meal is packed into a colorful box designed to appeal to children of a specific age and comes with games that enhance the meal time experience, making it something they look forward to! The boxes will be delivered to nurseries, school canteens and private homes, based on each mother and child’s requirement.
