Dubai - MENA Herald: More students than ever before will collect their Cambridge International Examination results today, as entries for Cambridge qualifications continue to grow in UAE and around the world.

Demand for Cambridge qualifications in UAE has soared this year with more than 100 schools making around 50,000 entries for Cambridge qualifications.

In particular, Cambridge A Levels have seen significant growth with a 14% rise in entries compared to June 2015. The most popular Cambridge A Levels are: Physics and Chemistry, which have risen by 18%, accounting for nearly 3000 entries.

Globally there has been 10% growth across all Cambridge qualifications this year, including 8% growth in entries for Cambridge IGCSEs.

Waseem Al Hanbali, Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa, Cambridge International Examinations, said: “I’d like to congratulate our students in UAE for the hard work that went into their exams this year. We are extremely fortunate to have worked with schools in UAE for over 25 years. We now work with more than 100 schools and I’m pleased to say that the popularity for our international qualifications continues to grow with the overall growth of the education sector in this country.

“Today’s great results are based on the hard work of students, teachers and school support staff, together with the essential support and encouragement of families. There is so much collective effort that goes into the results of an individual; it is schools, parents and teachers who also contribute to a student’s grade. I want to say well done to everyone and wish you every success as you move on to the next stage of studies and career pathways.”
