Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and the Dubai Public Prosecution explore prospects for cooperation

Dubai - MENA Herald: Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF), a member of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, met with the Public Prosecution in Dubai to discuss ways of cooperation between the two parties.

The efforts adhere to the ‘Year of Reading’ initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and serve to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two institutions.

The meeting, held at the MBRF office, was attended by His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Managing Director of MBRF; Counsellor / Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, Senior Chief Prosecutor and head of the Year of Reading Support Group at the Public Prosecution; and heads of departments at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.

During the meeting, the Foundation reviewed its knowledge-related and cultural initiatives in the UAE and the world. It also discussed ways to cooperate with the Public Prosecution to launch knowledge-related initiatives, and organise activities that support institutional development, in addition to workshops and conferences.

Commenting on the topic, His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, said that the Foundation seeks to strengthen cooperation between all government entities in the UAE, in line with the national strategy, and to achieve its objectives in the knowledge field through the optimal management of resources, as well as partnerships with many entities to launch initiatives and organise specialised forums that aim to create a supportive institutional culture for the exchange of knowledge.

HE added that the cooperation with the Dubai Public Prosecution would be expanded to include joint efforts in the knowledge, legal, institutional, and societal fields, in order to fulfil the objectives of each party, as well as to serve the public interest. Moreover, the cooperation seeks to enrich information networks and knowledge-management programmes for both parties, as well as to employ expertise and resources of the two sides in support of the ongoing knowledge development efforts.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Foundation presented the Dubai Public Prosecution delegation with an assortment of books from the ‘My Family Reads’ initiative; in a bid to spread knowledge among Dubai Public Prosecution employees and their families.

Through its partnership with Dubai Public Prosecution, MBRF seeks to exchange the knowledge-related resources available between the two parties, and create a synergy between the two organisations to support the Foundation’s initiatives, programmes, and projects pertaining to the knowledge management field.

The Foundation and the Public Prosecution focused will work to consolidate their efforts to support Arabic content by launching knowledge-related products, such as translated books and material, as well as by organising cultural events that are of mutual interest for both parties. The Foundation will support the Dubai Public Prosecution in the fields of science, culture, education, and knowledge in general.
