DED joins launch of ‘Serendipity 3’ in Dubai Festival City

Dubai – MENA Herald: The Business Licensing & Registration (BRL) sector in the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai, along with ‘Serendipity 3,’ the famous New York City eatery, recently announced the opening of the restaurant’s latest outlet in Dubai Festival City. The popular eatery has been brought to Dubai under a DED initiative to attract globally renowned brands and unique projects compatible with the culture and affinities of the UAE population to establish their presence in the city. The initiative is also part of the Dubai Government strategy to pursue excellence through stronger bonds with the local community as well as businesses and investors.

Omar Al Mehairi, Director of Development and Follow-up Management in the BRL sector, attended the opening of the restaurant along with various DED officials and lauded Serendipity 3 and its founders for their accomplishments. Founded by Calvin Holt, Patch Caradine and Stephen Bruce, Serendipity 3 has a rich history of 60 years and the name denotes the “…art of making happy discoveries, or finding the unexpectedly pleasant by chance or sagacity.”
