GITEX 2016 Introduces New Realities for a New Era – a Hologram Keynote by Accenture

Sunday 16 October 2016

Dubai - MENA Herald: Who: Mike Sutcliff, Group Chief Executive, Accenture Digital
Paul Daugherty, Chief Technology Officer, Accenture

What: The two senior leaders from Accenture will kick-off the 36th Annual GITEX Technology Week with a hologram keynote session – a first-of-its-kind at GITEX. Mr. Sutcliff will participate in the keynote discussion live, on stage, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). But unbeknownst to the audience of 400 business executives from around the world, Mr. Daugherty will be “beamed in” via hologram, appearing to be there live and “in the flesh”, while actually sitting in his home office in New York. It will be a unique and powerful demonstration of how technology advances are helping to reimagine how we work and live in a digital age.

The keynote session will focus on how digital can transform every aspect of your life sooner than you expect, while at the same time reinforcing the most essential element of this digital revolution – people. Unlike the traditional video teleconference that really is a remote environment, lacking human connection, Accenture showcases how innovative technologies like the hologram offer a more personal experience that reaffirms the intangible, inherent value of face-to-face relationships. Digital is meant to reinforce the importance of building relationships and in person communication. It should connect more people to one another, more companies to more customers and enrich our interactions, not dilute them.

When: Sunday, October 16th 2:30pm-3:00pm

Where: Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC)
