Industry leaders converge at SGI Dubai ‘Knowledge Series’

Dubai - MENA Herald: Industry leaders across the print, signage, graphic and imaging industries came together at the recently held ‘Knowledge Series’ organised by SGI Dubai on behalf of International Expo Consults (IEC), part of Falak Holding. The core objective of this event was to bring together professionals from across the industry for a thought provoking brainstorming session to discuss key challenges currently faced by the printing and signage industry and address solutions for the same.
The ‘Knowledge Series’ by SGI Dubai was an absolute success and was well received by the industry stalwarts such as Cannon Middle East, AGFA Graphics, Jacky’s Business Solutions, Flex-Europa ME, Giffin Graphics, Emirates Computers Co. LLC – Roland, Al Shabak General Trading, Heliozid OCE and Al Mahir Printing Equipment Trading.
“The sign and graphics industry especially in the UAE, is growing at a rapid pace and there are several stakeholders in the industry who are looking up to the industry thought leaders for direction and feedback. The ‘Knowledge Series’ proved to be an ideal platform to exchange views and to address the underlying challenges that were countered with solutions from our participants. Overall the event provided a holistic and scientific approach to discuss the current fad in the printing and signage industry,” said Mr. Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC.
The ‘Knowledge Series’ comprised of presentations, networking and brainstorming sessions to discuss key topics pertaining to the print and signage industry and SGI Dubai 2017. The session embraced areas that are relevant to the Middle Eastern market especially large format printing, 3D printing, digital signage, textile printing, amongst various trending topics that cater to the print and signage industry in the GCC.
“The event has helped to evaluate the long term trends and developments that will impact the sector. The occasion featured leaders and thinkers from both within and outside the sector for thought provoking sessions at this specially conceptualized event. The potential of the printing and signage industry was also touted to grow over the next coming years. Apart from the industry potential environmental concerns were also voiced and solutions were discussed at the event,” said Mr. Sharif.
IEC is the organiser of the 19-year-old, ‘SGI Dubai show’, one of the most anticipated events of the year in the MENA region within the signage, digital signage, retail signage solutions, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries.

The SGI Dubai 2017 show would be held from January 15th to 17th 2017 at the halls 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
