Uzbekistan and United Arab Emirates agreed on treaties

Tashkent - MENA Herald: The Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates have jointly signed a Protocol on Exchange of Instruments of Ratification of Intergovernmental Treaties between the two countries.

The official signing ceremony to this effect was held in Tashkent, the Uzbek capital, on November 21, 2016, and was attended by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and His Excellency Mohammed Hareb Almehairbi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates.

The signing ceremony encompassed the Protocol on Exchange of Instruments of Ratification of Intergovernmental Treaties between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.

In particular, the Protocol includes the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, the Treaty on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons, and the Treaty on Extradition.

The said international treaties will come into effect on December 21, 2016; 30 days after the exchange of the Instruments of Ratification between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
