Global medical technology business, Siemens Healthineers, has partnered with Middle Eastern investors to establish its first entity in the UAE.
The business has joined forces with Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, a multidivisional conglomerate, and Electro Mechanical Co.LLC, an electrical product and services company, to set up Siemens Healthineers’ inaugural UAE establishment.
Siemens Healthineers offers medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics and advanced medical services, consulting and healthcare IT services in the region.
The partnership comes at a time the UAE government is encouraging cross-sectoral collaboration to advance its rapidly growing infrastructure and attract global investment.
Kay Zwingenbeger, Managing Director of Siemens Healthineers in Middle East and Africa, said the company has been established in the region to meet the gap in healthcare needs, and contribute to the market which is expected to grow 12.7% by 2020.
