GEMS Education with iD Tech Partner to Bring the #1 Tech Camp in the World to Dubai

Dubai – MENA Herald: GEMS Education has partnered with iD Tech, the number one tech camp and a leader in STEM education in the United States, to bring technology camps to Dubaithis summer.

iD Tech hasover 150 locations in the US including Stanford, Harvard, Princeton and NYUand has had over 300,000 students pass through its camps since 1999.Now students in Dubai will receive the same world-class instruction from top-notch staff, at GEMS Nations Academy, while working to create an impressive project and build skills for college and beyond. With 1-on-1 teaching provided bytech-savvy staff, only eight students per instructor, and each student working on their own laptop, iD Tech delivers the academic rigor and hands-on experience that students need to build a competitive advantage for their future.

GEMS Nations Academy stays ahead of the curve in innovation. Their facilities are of bold and creative design, with inspiring interior spaces housing technology-rich learning environments. The campus goes beyond state-of-the-art and provides a stimulating environment for students to be immersed in coding, robotics, and extend their digital fluency skillsets. A variety of one-week programs will be offered to GEMS and non-GEMS students over an 8 week period beginning 2nd July at GEMS Nations Academy. Registration is now open and students are welcome to enrol in multiple courses throughout the summer. The courses for kids and teens includeJava and C++ coding, LEGO and VEX robotics, in addition to engineering and game design courses.

In addition to summer camps, iD Tech will also be establishing a year-round lab space inside GEMS Nations Academy. “Think creative makerspace meets Apple store,” says Pete Ingram-Cauchi, CEO of iD Tech. “This flexible learning environment will encourage exploration, collaboration, and experiential learning. I can’t wait to see GEMS Nations Academy students get their hands on the latest tech in virtual reality, VEX robotics, and so much more.”

This is just the beginning of the partnership between iD Tech and GEMS Education, and they will be looking to expand to additional campuses across the Middle East and Asia.
