Dubai – MENA Herald: Omniyat will reveal the full scale of its new cutting-edge Dubai hospitality project portfolio at Cityscape Global.

The developer, who in the last 11 years has brought to life a range of high-profile office and residential buildings in the city, is moving into the arena of hotel and hospitality brands.

The new brands set to be introduced include ME by Melia and Langham, two critically acclaimed leaders in modern hospitality, with a range of others in the pipeline.

Omniyat will be using this year’s Cityscape to unveil the plans to bring them to life and go into detail on the role played by the famous architect Zaha Hadid, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

The Iraqi-born designer is the force behind Omniyat’s Opus development in Downtown Dubai, which will be the home of the ME by Melia hotel.

Mahdi Amjad, Executive Chairman and CEO of Omniyat, said: “We are very proud of the results achieved in taking to market commercial and residential projects in Dubai covering the last 11 years.

“Omniyat is now shifting much more into hotels and hospitality and has been on a global search to find the very best partners in this market.

“ME by Melia is a hugely exciting and modern brand – one look at the impact that the hotel is having in London and that is clear to see.

“ME hotels are cutting-edge in everything from food and beverage to design and standards of service.

“Zaha Hadid has left us with an incredibly stunning design for the hotel and we are now in the final stages of making sure she has a suitable legacy in Dubai.

“Langham is another name that Omniyat is thrilled to be bringing to Dubai. The Langham brand is legendary, with a heritage dating back to 1865, but is also at the forefront of what is happening now.”

Since launching in 2005, Dubai-based developer Omniyat has announced projects worth AED 16.2 billion.

The rapidly expanding developer has ambitious plans for the next five years with an impressive portfolio of residential and hospitality developments in the pipeline, including the exclusive One Palm, The Pad, ANWA, Langham Place and The Sterling.

Omniyat will be showcasing The Opus along with the Langham, One Palm and other flagship projects at this year’s Cityscape Global, being held from 6-8 September at Dubai World Trade Centre. Visit Omniyat at Stand S2C30, Sheikh Saeed Hall 2.
