“Technology and education are critical to building a sustainable, competitive travel sector,” says Amadeus during UNWTO and ATM Ministerial Forum

Dubai - MENA Herald: Antoine Medawar, Vice President MENA, Amadeus, discussed the sustainable future of the travel and tourism sector at the UNTWO and Arabian Travel Market Ministerial Forum, held during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy of the UAE.

In this event that gathered ministers of tourism an industry leaders in the MENA region, Medawar emphasised the importance of collaboration between stakeholders, and in particular between the public and private sectors, to ensure that students and the labour force are fully equipped to deal with what will be the technology-driven future of the sector.

“At Amadeus, we believe that the combination of education and technology is critical, in order to build up a sustainable and competitive travel and tourism sector in the future,” said Medawar. “In terms of the education requirements for the labour force of today and tomorrow, this conference is a unique platform to discuss the policies and initiatives that will equip future sector employees with the skills and knowledge to contribute to continued, sustainable growth.”
