FLASH Entertainment Maintains its Position as Market Leader in Live Events Across The Region

Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald: Continuing its legacy as the region’s premiere live events company, FLASH Entertainment has been awarded three new projects: INNOVATOR Show 2016, “Live Science” and the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2016. All three events will take place in Abu Dhabi in association with Government organizations across sport, education and science and technology sectors.

“Live Science”

The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala), the Abu Dhabi-based investment and development company, bring “Live Science”, a joint initiative that brings together aspiring engineers, scientists and curious UAE youth.

On 31 January, 2016, “Live Science” launched at Mushrif Central Park in Abu Dhabi. The event welcomes the UAE youth to discover and learn about aerospace, science and technology innovations and runs until 5 March, 2016.

“Live Science” combines Boeing’s Above and Beyond­ interactive science exhibition, exploring transformative innovations in aerospace, and a series of workshops presented by “lema?”, the informal science education programme, organized by Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) and held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, wife of the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.

INNOVATOR Show 2016

INNOVATOR Show is an annual event organized by the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC), a government entity supporting the development of human capital in the science and technology sectors in the Emirate. This is the third year that FLASH has been awarded to run the end-to-end event management for the gathering that celebrates the forward thinking contribution of budding inventors.

The upcoming INNOVATOR Show runs from 3 - 4 March at the Abu Dhabi Corniche, East Plaza and will bring together UAE-based talented individuals - DIYers (tinkerers, tech enthusiasts, do-it-yourself builders, crafters, car tuners, IT programmers and designers) who have the opportunity to showcase their remarkable projects and innovations covering a wide spectrum of science, technology, design and arts. The event will also feature signature projects, inspirational speakers and entertaining shows for all to enjoy.

Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2016

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has appointed FLASH as the event producers for the 8th annual World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship which takes place every year in Abu Dhabi. This year’s Championship will take place in April and is the fourth year this prestigious sporting event has been managed by FLASH.

The Championship held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, welcomes the most internationally diverse line up of male and female players from more than 100 different countries. Participation at the annual Championship represents the pinnacle of achievement for Jiu-Jitsu players.

In total, FLASH Entertainment has delivered 260 major events, 28 industry awards and more than 4,000 days of live events in the eight years since its inception. The company continues to grow and branch out to different markets to bring audiences a plethora of non-stop entertainment with events held in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Lebanon.

FLASH started its 2016 calendar of events with two sold out shows. In January, Russell Peters performed in front of packed audiences in Dubai and the February shows for Disney in Concert: Frozen sold out to Abu Dhabi crowds.

Other FLASH events this season include the region’s first Disney in Concert: Frozen in Abu Dhabi at the du Forum opening this weekend until February 20 and at Biel in Beirut on March 5 and 6.
