It’s the last weekend to ‘Unwrap The Exceptional’ at DSF 2016

Dubai - MENA Herald: After weeks of showcasing its line-up of over 150 events and activations, the final weekend of DSF 2016 gives both residents and visitors another wonderful opportunity to benefit from the world’s most rewarding festival of its kind.

Organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and organizers of the DSF, the festival has been drawing large numbers of people since it began its 21st edition on 1 January.

Now the Dubai Shopping Festival is inviting shoppers from across the region to come and celebrate the last weekend of its 2016 edition in style by taking advantage of all the fantastic shopping opportunities that can be found citywide. Malls and retailers across the Emirate will be surprising visitors with brilliant promotions, fantastic entertainment and even more chances to win.

With the final day of DSF set for 1st February, this will be the last chance for shoppers from around the world to ‘Unwrap the Exceptional’ features of this unique festival..

Mega Raffles
Now, more than ever, is the perfect time to pick up raffle tickets for the DSF Infiniti Mega Raffle with each draw changing one lucky winner’s life. As a special offer, shoppers who purchase an Infiniti Mega Raffle ticket will receive a free coupon for the Nissan Grand Raffle. Both the Infiniti Mega Raffle and Nissan Grand Raffle will be held daily until 6 February, giving more chances to local residents and tourists to win.

The Infiniti Mega Raffle is offering one lucky shopper a day the chance to drive home with an Infiniti QX70 and AED 200,000. Raffle tickets can be purchased for AED200 from selected EPPCO & ENOC petrol stations, including: Al Ghurair Centre; Global Village; Al Fahidi Street; Al Rigga Street; Al Seef Street; Baniyas Road and the Gold Souk. The daily raffle draw takes place at Global Village every day at 10pm.

Shoppers can also win in the daily Nissan Grand Raffle when they spend AED 20 at ZOOM or Pronto, AED 35 at Prowash in ENOC/EPPCO stations, or AED 100 for any AutoPro or oil change services. The daily raffle will be giving away one of eight cars from Nissan – Micra; Sunny; Sentra; Tiida Hatchback; X-Trail; Juke; Pathfinder and Patrol. Both the Infiniti Mega Raffle and Nissan Grand Raffle will be held daily until 6 February.

The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group is running a mega promotion offering shoppers fabulous gold prizes every day. Many of Dubai’s gold and jewellery retailers are participating in this exciting promotion titled ‘100 Winners in 32 Days’. Shoppers at Dubai’s community malls can also win 5Kg of Gold this DSF. One lucky winner is still to be picked on the 1st February and will walk away with a kilo of gold.

DSF Perfume Theme
The final weekend of DSF 2016 will also see the final theme of this year’s festival – Perfumes – round off with a number of fantastic events.

The Perfume Avenue, one of the Perfume-themed activations, at City Centre Mirdif, will be hosting influencers, celebrities, perfume experts, as well as exhibitions on perfumes, all for shoppers to enjoy. Daily programmes will be held and will include talk sessions on perfumes; entrepreneur sessions; perfume launches and perfume making workshops. Shoppers can expect special guests during the final weekend, including a special appearance and Meet-and-Greet opportunity at the Perfume Avenue by supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio.

Shoppers can enjoy a pop-up market that includes 6 niche local and regional brands: Lootah perfumes from UAE; Suhad perfumes by Suhad Qenaei from Kuwait; “NE’EMAH” perfumes by Mohammed Ne’emah from Kuwait; ANFASS perfumes by Asim Kasim from UAE); AJ Arabia by Ali Al Jaberi from UAE and Jealous Gallery by Abduljabar Al Harthi from UAE.

There are a number of other events taking place during the final weekend; including the Annick Goutal Historical Fragrance exhibition, the Ajmal Perfume Museum, the 10 Most Expensive Perfumes Exhibition at Perfume Avenue in City Centre Mirdif and the Biggest Perfume Spray event in City Centre Deira which will see perfume being sprayed simultaneously from a range samples.

Promotions Galore
Shoppers can also take advantage of the fantastic promotions and opportunities to win during the final weekend with one of them being with Paris Gallery and Watch Gallery. For every AED 750 you spend at Paris Gallery, you could walk away with gift vouchers worth up to AED 10,000 or a discount voucher up to 10% off on your next purchase.

Exciting activations
The final weekend offers visitors a great chance to enjoy the fantastic January weather and go to Market Outside The Box, which will be taking place at the Burj Park next to the Burj Khalifa. The unique outdoor retail space gives regional retailers the chance to show their new lines, while there are lots of home-grown entertainers and F&B vendors set up in the market. Fashion stalls with fabulous clothes for men, women, and children, accessories for men, and women, as well as home appliances are all available at the Market OTB.

Luxury French House, Hermes, opened the doors of its exceptional ‘Wanderland’ exhibition to the public on 22 January and will be continuing up until 7th February. The fascinating exhibition, which made its debut in Asia in Dubai during the ongoing DSF 2016 is built on an area of 1000 square metres of The Dubai Fountains, as part of the ongoing DSF 2016.

DSF is giving families the opportunity to spend their evenings enjoying ‘Disney’s Sparkling Frozen Forest’ – a special activation based on Disney’s globally acclaimed animated film, “Frozen. The family friendly experience will be active until 30 January at the ice rink of CITY WALK, the dynamic outdoor destination by Meraas. ‘Disney’s Sparkling Frozen Forest’ offers a wonderful chance for families to get an insight into the world of Disney’s Frozen with an immersive experience featuring ‘winter wonderland’ aesthetics that children will enjoy.

Global Village, Dubai’s leading family entertainment and cultural attraction, offers a unique shopping experience at several pavilions, each representing a different country. Visitors to Global Village are welcomed into a diversified but united world of joy, colours and rhythms to explore the world, one pavilion at a time.

Residents and tourists can also continue to enjoy Beatbox at BOXPARK and Carnival at THE BEACH until the end of the Dubai Shopping Festival, with lots of special activations for shoppers of all ages, including live music, roaming street performers and lots of carnival games taking place throughout the weekend.
