Alstom showcases its complete rail transport solutions at Eurasia Rail Turkey 2016

Istanbul - MENA Herald: Alstom will be present in Eurasia Rail – the third biggest rolling stock rail industry exhibition in the world and the largest in the Eurasia Region – from 3-5 March 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey. The company will showcase its complete rail transport solutions from urban to high speed trains, and from signalling to services.

“Alstom has been a reliable partner for the Turkish railway sector for more than 60 years,” says Mrs Arban Citak, Managing Director of Alstom Turkey. “With government intending to invest over €40 billion in rail transport, we are looking forward to pursue our collaboration and contribute to the development of its transport network which include high speed and regional trains, metro, and signalling’. We hope to further re-enforce our commitment to the development of Turkish railway sector and economy through participation in the upcoming railway projects”, she added.

Alstom has a strong tradition of bringing its global expertise in localisation, job creation and enrichment of the local supply chain to its projects. In the past two years, Alstom has created over 200 jobs and partnered with several local suppliers.

Among the solutions Alstom will present from its booth, we can find Axonis, an integrated driverless metro system that can be quickly built and put into service in cities seeking affordable public transit systems, Coradia, highly configurable regional trains that offer numerous options with regard to engines (electric, diesel and hybrid), number of cars (one to six) and interior fittings and the Pendolino high-speed trains that operate on both conventional and high speed lines. On 4 March, Jean Marc Tessier, Vice President of Alstom mainline solutions and Jaime Borrell, Market & Portfolio director will present Alstom’s high speed and very high speed solutions and Alstom’s industrial cooperation during a plenary session.

Visitors to the booth will be able to learn about the Atlas range of signalling solutions for all types of ERTMS projects. Atlas 200, an ERTMS level 2 solution, is currently in operation in 23 countries. Two new additions include Atlas 400 for low-density routes and Atlas 500 for high density suburban and regional lines. Alstom will also be featuring its services solutions which offer a complete range of customised services including maintenance, modernisation, parts and repairs and support services in training and obsolescence.
Alstom will present for the first time in the region its components knowhow through a dedicated space with real components.
