Dubai Chamber invites young Emiratis to join its workforce

Dubai - MENA Herald: During its participation in Careers UAE 2016, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry invited young Emirati jobseekers to join the organisation and to play an active role in serving the business community while carving out a successful career based on innovative training and expertise provided by the leading business facilitator in the region. The Chamber pavilion at Careers UAE 2016 which opened at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Monday apprised the large turnout of young Emirati jobseekers about the number of vacancies available in its various departments including Business Support, Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), Economic Research, Policy Advocacy, Member Relations and Membership and Documentation Services departments, as well as the prospects and benefits of joining the organisation. The visitors were also informed that the Chamber hired 15 Emiratis last year and its participation in the job fair is part of its commitment to the strategy of hiring Emiratis while training, motivating and rehabilitating national cadres in the process of nation building under the wise leadership of the government. Essa Al Zaabi, Senior Vice-President, Institutional Support Sector, Dubai Chamber, informed that the Chamber’s priority is to employ national cadres under its ambitious strategy of becoming one of the best chambers of commerce in the world adding that the young Emiratis are capable of acquiring the expertise and the efficiency to serve the community. Al Zaabi further stressed that the Chamber provides a vibrant work environment for nationals to operate within a multinational set-up serving over 200 nationalities which will also help them hone their skills and improve their professional capabilities. He said: “Our ambitious target this year is to attract national talent as we look forward to raise the proportion of Emirati employees to 60% by the end of 2016, therefore we invite our youngsters to visit our stand, and see the vacancies available in the different departments of the Chamber and choose the right career path for themselves.” Dubai Chamber has launched the ‘Fursa: Together We Shape Your Future’ programme for training and placement of fresh graduates three years ago under which 36 new graduates were trained and 22 were hired on a permanent basis in various departments of the organisation thus employing 61% under the programme while the door is open for more graduates to join the programme.
