44 graduates from du University equipped to excel in leadership, managerial and sales roles

Dubai - MENA Herald: du recently congratulated an additional 44 graduates from du University during a ceremony held at the du auditorium, du headquarters in Dubai Media City. The successful graduates completed relevant modules designed by du, aimed at developing leadership, managerial and interpersonal skills for all candidates, as well as sales skills for those attending the Retail Sales and Service Academy.
Speaking about this ongoing initiative Ibrahim Nassir, Chief Human Capital and Administration Officer, du said: “We are committed to enhancing the leadership skills at all levels throughout our company, which are critical to our success. We launched du University to enhance our objectives, and also attract the best talent by offering them a solid career path, and the potential to grow within our organisation. Engaging directly with our employees empowers us to contribute to the growth of the UAE knowledge economy, enhance our own employee retention figures and improve customer service.”
A total of over 1500 du staff and partners have undergone training through du University since its inception in February 2015. This year, du is aiming to engage more employees in educational initiatives through du University and plans to launch the School of Technology in September and the Contact Center Academy in the third quarter of 2016. The purpose of the training and development initiative is to facilitate a transformation by altering mindsets and creating a seamless culture of service throughout the organisation.
The company recently introduced a new user-friendly recruitment tool which allows employees to apply for jobs, in addition to recommend candidates for vacancies through social media platforms, including Facebook Twitter and LinkedIn. This tool complements the newly launched website for potential candidates to find information when looking for their dream job.
