du supports Emirates Red Crescent’s Yemen 'We Care' humanitarian campaign by donating one million dirhams

Dubai - MENA Herald: Responding to the directives of His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, du announced its participation in Emirates Red Crescent’s month-long Yemen: We Care humanitarian campaign to help rebuild the lives of Yemenis.

du has also activated an SMS donation campaign wherein du customers can donate as little as AED 10 via SMS to 7110, or to 7150 to donate AED 50, or to 7100 to donate AED 100, or to 7200 to donate AED 200. The move supports the pledge of UAE to ease and reconstruct the lives of 10 million Yemenis by making provision of basic needs in healthcare, education and relief efforts.

Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Commercial Officer, du, said: “Time and again we have supported to the cause of upliftment of humanity through various means. Today we have joined the call to rebuild the lives of fellow Yemenis through our contribution to Yemen We Care. We are proud to belong to a country that has always been at the forefront in supporting humanitarian causes around the world.”

“We salute the bravery of our soldiers martyred in Yemen, our hearts go out to their families as we remain united in their thoughts and prayers,” added Al Hassawi.
