Dubai Chamber workshop provides a practical guide to the new Commercial Companies Law

Dubai - MENA Herald: As part of its efforts to help companies understand and comply with the new Commercial Companies Law, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a workshop in association with Hadef & Partners LLC law firm, highlighting the notable changes introduced by the new law. The workshop entitled Navigating the New Commercial Companies Law – A Practical Guide, was attended by Dubai Chamber members, lawyers and legal consultants, investors, contract specialists, general managers and business owners. Overall, it shed light on the wider commercial implications and how to use the new Commercial Companies Law in the country. Ms Jehad Kazim, Director, Legal Services, Dubai Chamber, said: “The new UAE Commercial Companies Law No. 2 of 2015 which came into force in July last year brought with it a range of provisions offering opportunities for companies while there are also key challenges concerning compliance to the new law. Therefore, it’s imperative for all types of companies coming under the law to understand how it impacts their operations.” The workshop, conducted by Bilal Snaineh, Head of Corporate Regulatory and Licencing, and Victoria Woods, Head of Commercial, was supported by Antonia Lewry, Head of Clients Relations, Hadef & Partners LLC. “Commenting on the workshop, Mrs Lewry, said: “We hope the delegates found the workshop both interesting and informative, and leave the event better able to advise and support their businesses with the implementation of the new CCL.
