The MoU aims to strengthen the cooperation and coordination of the two organisations to promote the development of skills amongst young Emirati entrepreneurs in Dubai through the organisation of a series of seminars and training workshops hosted by Tejar Dubai Youth Council at the Dubai Chamber headquarters. Investcorp will be responsible for managing the seminars, which will address key topics related to entrepreneurship and the development of skills needed amongst young entrepreneurs. Shafar said that the signing of the agreement reflects Tejar Dubai’s commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs, and to facilitating their access to the knowledge and expertise needed to succeed in the labour market. Shafar emphasized the importance of equipping young entrepreneurs with the skills necessary to survive the labour market, stressing that the solid foundation provided by the seminars will help to ensure the success of their business ventures. Commenting on the importance of this partnership, Mohammed Al-Shroogi said, “Investcorp has a historical relationship with the UAE, and this partnership is another testimonial of our long-term commitment to the country. Over the past few decades, the UAE has demonstrated impeccable growth and development on different levels, and looking at Dubai in particular, the economic diversification achieved today is outstanding. We are proud to be collaborating with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, whose role in this development has been vital, and we look forward to commencing our series of seminars that will enable us to pass our knowledge onto the young business community in the UAE.” Tejar Dubai’s Youth Council, established in 2015, is composed of 20 young entrepreneurs from various sectors. The council aims to unify the voice of citizens and entrepreneurs, helping them grow and develop under the Dubai Chamber umbrella. The launch of the council, with the support of Tejar Dubai, a Dubai Chamber initiative, promotes entrepreneurship amongst young citizens.
