Cutting-edge Honeywell smart building technology to make Middle East debut at internet of things world forum in Dubai

Saturday 05 December 2015

Dubai – MENA Herald : Honeywell (NYSE: HON) is unveiling its next generation of smart building technology, including the Command and Control Suite, for the first time in the Middle East at the 2015 Internet of Things World Forum (IoTWF) being held December 6–8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
The exclusive annual event brings together the world’s best and brightest thinkers, practitioners, and innovators from business, government, and academia to accelerate the market adoption of the Internet of Things.
Honeywell is demonstrating how Command and Control Suite technology can make buildings smarter by combining intelligent automation, advanced analytics and visualization to centrally organize and manage the functions of facilities such as residential or office towers, hotels, shopping malls, stadiums, hospitals or industrial sites.

Command and Control Suite To Be Unveiled During Exclusive Forum

By combining advanced user-experience design with Honeywell’s global expertise in enterprise integration, the command suite intelligently links building automation and the enterprise, and simplifies previously complex tasks. It can provide a holistic view of a connected building’s video feeds, access control and fire alarms, for example, and pull in relevant information from human resource applications. Integrating data from these disparate systems could help security personnel better monitor building occupancy, and ensure all occupants exit the facility in the event of an evacuation.
At IoTWF 2015, Honeywell will also showcase its latest security solution designed to protect critical industrial infrastructure and the Industrial Internet of Things (iiOT). Industrial Cyber Security Risk Manager, the first digital dashboard designed to proactively monitor, measure and manage cyber security risk, helps protect control systems from malware and misuse. The system helps prevent cyber attacks against critical infrastructure such as oil refineries and power plants, as well as other automated production sites wherever they may be located.
“Honeywell’s history of innovation in the technology sphere goes back over a century and today we are actively focused on leveraging our global research facilities to develop solutions that help make our customers more secure, connected, energy efficient, and productive. By harnessing the value created by the Internet of Things and the Industrial Internet of Things, we are well placed to play a pivotal role in the development of smart buildings, smart cities and smart industries in the Middle East, and look forward to playing a key role in the global evolution of smart technologies and connectivity,” said Norm Gilsdorf, president, Honeywell High Growth Regions, Middle East, Russia and Central Asia.
During the show, Honeywell technology experts will be on hand to discuss Honeywell’s Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (iiOT) offerings, including Command and Control Suite and Industrial Cyber Security Risk Manager.
