DED briefs government delegations on innovative customer services provided by Dubai Business Club

Dubai - MENA Herald: The Business Registration & Licensing (BRL) sector in the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai recently received delegations comprising representatives from Dubai Airports, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), and the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) at the Dubai Business Club, a 6-Star facility opened recently in DED to provide an exceptional experience and improved happiness to customers.

The visit was part of the Dubai government strategy to promote exchange of knowledge and best practices among its different entities to improve the quality of customer service and work environment in Dubai for enhanced competitiveness.

The Dubai Business Club - the first of its kind in the UAE to win a 6-Star rating – is a unique one-stop facility to avail of the services of different government entities. A quantum leap for Dubai in service quality and efficiency, the Club serves as the best and fastest channel to complete transactions related to the entities in line with the highest international standards.

Senior officials from BRL welcomed the delegation and briefed the members on the services provided. Members of the delegation also toured the facility and took stock of the arrangements made to ensure an outstanding and luxurious service environment for VVIP customers.

Expressing his delight over receiving the delegations at the Dubai Business Club within such a short period after its opening, Omar Bushahab, CEO of BRL said the visit underlines the success of DED in rolling out innovative and exceptional services for the business community.

“The Dubai Business Club seeks to translate the vision of Dubai Government in promoting sustainability and competitiveness of business in the emirate through fulfilling the needs of customers. It is also a remarkable step in our pursuit of excellence and in providing world-class services in Dubai,” said Bushahab.

The delegation was given an introduction on the Dubai Business Club and its organisational structure as well as the unique services available at the Club to leading businessmen and high profile investors. Members of the delegations also learnt about the ‘Smart Business Consultancy’ initiative, aimed to help develop government services and take them to the next stages.

In addition to DED transactions, guests can avail of the services of the General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Dubai Police, Dubai Health Authority, Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation, and the Notary as well as Commercial Bank of Dubai through the Dubai Business Club.

Members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the Dubai Business Club and remarked that the initiative is well-aligned with the government’s directive to strengthen Dubai's position as a preferred destination for investment and business growth.

Omar Al Meheiri, Director of Development and Follow-up in BRL said: “The Dubai Business Club has specialist teams well versed in providing outstanding customer services, right from receiving customers and enabling them to complete different government transactions within a single business day while relaxing in the luxurious Club premises”.

“Prior appointments at the Dubai Business Club can be done via e-mail or phone. Guests also have the option of booking limousine pick-and-drop. On arrival, guests are welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates and a specially assigned employee processes the application electronically, obtains permissions for payment, completes bank payment and delivers the license to the customer,” added Al Meheiri.
