Eng. Anas Al Madani stated, “The 1st Global Franchise Market will be a key education platform for franchisees and investors who are interested to start up a business and learn from major players in the industry and meet renowned experts. The Middle East region presents a tremendous opportunity for businesses keen to expand in a challenging global economic environment, and especially with the booming franchise industry. We believe that this event will capitalize on these opportunities and eventually support this industry in the region.”

Eng. Anas Al Madani added, “We are also proud to partner with Francorp to launch such an event, as they will bring a lot of value through their experience and network and have already contributed immensely to the franchising scene in the region.”

From his side, Mr. Imad A. Charaf Eddine, Chairman of Francorp Middle East / Levant, stated during the press conference, “Franchising is an excellent growth strategy for our businesses to emulate the pace of the fast growing markets while forging a sustainable economic environment for our future generation. The GCC markets are on a trajectory growth ever since and businesses are always looking for better ways to expand their operations. The key to successful franchising is maintaining system wide operational efficiency and adaptability to different market conditions as well as preserving its core business values.”

“If done right, franchising can eliminate the problems of money, time and people facing the SMEs’ low GDP share in the region. Governments and financial institutions should encourage individuals and corporates to ardently inject investment into local franchise companies for long term economic prosperity,” he added

Mr. Jassim AlBastaki, CEO, Franchise Souq and The Global Franchise Market co-founder, said, "Through 'TGFM' in its first edition, we aim to increase the general awareness of the franchise culture in the business community. We are targeting the young entrepreneurs and businessmen, as we offer them high-quality investment opportunities with high possibilities of success. Those franchising opportunities vary from travel and entertainment to restaurants and services.”

Mr. Jassim AlBastaki added, “The exhibition will shed more light on the latest brands and local and international products and services. It will also highlight the other services supporting the franchising sector, stakeholders, and investors.”

He stressed on the fact that The Global Franchise Market comes at a time when the region is witnessing a boom in the franchising industry, which total value is estimated to cross $30 billion, with annual growth rates ranging from 20% to 27%.

The press conference has also touched upon the agenda of The Global Franchise Market Seminar that is expected to discuss relevant industry topics like Women in Franchising, How to Choose the Right Franchise, How to Franchise Your Business, What You Need to Know Before You Expand Internationally, Current Day Challenges in Franchise Sales, The Franchise Legal System and many more.
